Ceramics can be defined as a material made of clay and cements that has been made permanently hard by heat.

Ceramics can be defined as any of the various hard, heat-resistant, brittle, and corrosion-resistant materials made by shaping and then firing a non-metallic mineral such as clay at high temperature.
